monthly look back
It’s already a week into August, but I thought it would be a good time to squeeze in my July Look Back….
One thing we all say + hear is how quickly time is going, but I feel like this year has been the quickest. It’s like I blinked an eye and somehow half a year elapsed, and the remainder of the year will feel just the same. So I thought it would be nice to start looking back on each month and note the highlights, the lowlights and everything in between.
Highlights: New and exciting opportunities that arose, both from coincidence and my own persistence. I have also been lucky enough to visit cafes for my Brunch Diaries series, as well as start contributing to Dissh Blog, and work with a few lovely brands on Instagram. Over the long weekend, I also got the chance to drive down to Byron Bay and spend time with my beloved friends who live in Sydney.
Lowlights: The crippling feeling of self-doubt and groundless worry that crept its way in some days. A head cold struck me down in the last week too, reminding me to slow down and allow myself to rest.
Things to Remember: You can’t do everything at once. Stay true to your real interests + passions. Have fun!
Firsts: Ordering pizza without cheese from a pizza chain.
Lasts: Ordering pizza without cheese. The pizza place somehow thought that also meant not adding pizza sauce on the base. Yep, dry pizza base with soggy veggies. I can’t even… I’ll stick to my usual Sol Cafe that serves the most delicious pizza imaginable with non-dairy cheese. Sorry, rant over.
Excited for: Upcoming work opportunities, visiting more cafes, and hopefully a trip to Sydney.
What were your June highlights?
