With October already upon us, what a better time to recap the September that has passed. I can’t believe it’s nearing toward the end of the year!
So here’s a look back on the month past of all the highlights, lowlights and everything in between.
Highlights: Although September was a quiet month (and a bit all over the place, quite frankly), there were a few amazing experiences, mainly our getaway to Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat. It was so nice to get out of the city for a few days and relax in the rainforest. Rian and I also booked flights to Bali for next year which we’re so excited about! I’ve also been vlogging on my YouTube channel – it’s fun to share my everyday life with you all and hear your lovely feedback.
Lowlights: Feeling as though I’m not doing enough and not where I ‘should’ be at this point in life.
Things to Remember: Work hard and be patient.
Firsts: Attending a foodie event. I was luckily invited to a vegan Italian event at Vapiano where I ate huge amounts of pizza + pasta, as well as meet a few fellow Brisbane instagrammers + bloggers.
Lasts: Using taxis. Hello Uber!
Food obsession of the month: My vegan Apple Crumble, Rainbow Salad with Satay Tofu (recipe coming soon!), and the amazing summer fruits that are coming into season – obsessed with mangoes, watermelon and blueberries. And Charlie’s smoothie bowls + smoothies – ever since my first visit we’ve become regulars. Seriously amazing bowls and customer service.
Watching: Modern Family. I recently rediscovered it and I’ve fallen in love with the characters all over again.
Listening to: Foal’s most recent album ‘What Went Down’ and Boy & Bear’s new track ‘Walk the Wire’ – I can’t wait for their upcoming album.
Excited for: Bali next year!
