Highlights: November has been a busy, busy month (a stark contrast to last month!) filled with wonderful new opportunities. I’ve been busy doing product shoots for stationery and jewellery brands, and am so delighted be writing food & lifestyle articles for one of my favourite websites, The Urban List Brisbane. My articles include a tongue-in-cheek piece on 5 Superfoods You’ll Be Eating Next Year, Where to Find the Best Vegan Pizza in Brisbane, and Brisbane’s Best Yoga Studios to Chill Out In. I would love for you to have a read and tell me what you think! Last week I was delighted to attend a Christmas Craft afternoon hosted by Ferrero at Italian restaurant ACME, and the vegan lunch options were amazing. This month Rian and I also went on a day adventure with friends to Stradbroke Island and had such a wonderful time swimming in the ocean, eating delicious food and basking in the sun.
Lowlights: A few weeks ago I was driving in the car with Rian when I saw a little kitten lying on the road. Horrified, we quickly pulled over and bolted to the kitten to help, but it was too late. The poor little soul had already died. I was so upset and angry that no one had pulled over when they hit it. Still gets me teary just thinking about it…
Things to Remember: See it for what it is, not what you want it to be.
Firsts: Seeing Tame Impala play live and it will definitely not be the last time!
Lasts: After getting mild food poisoning, I have vowed to never eat large amounts of deep-fried food again.
Food obsession of the month: Acai Bowls. With the weather heating up, I have been craving cold, delicious acai bowls for breakfast and topping them with an abundance of summer fruits. I’ve also been living off my Choc Peanut Butter smoothie and toast with peanut butter and black cherry jam. Basically, I’m addicted to peanut butter.
Watching: Parks and Rec, which I have shamelessly watched in its entirety over the last month or so. Such a feel-good comedy with the most loveable characters. “This is an excellent rectangle!”
Listening to: Odesza is rocking my socks off at the moment.
Excited for: Moving to Sydney! Yes the move to beautiful Sydney is becoming a reality. I’m nervous but so incredibly excited.
What were your November highlights?
