Everyone loves acai bowls and nearly everywhere sells them, but if you’re looking for something that stands out from the crowd, Pure Simplicity is the place to be.
Situated in a sleepy street in Mount Gravatt, Pure Simplicity Health Bar is a vegetarian, vegan and gluten free cafe with an abundance of acai bowls, smoothies, raw treats and healthy breakfast staples, as well as droolworthy burgers, salads and wraps. Decked out with a modern, minimalist interior, Pure Simplicity is an inviting cafe with a big variety of delicious dishes to nourish your insides and tickle your tastebuds.
With all day breakfast, the cafe offers dishes including a Breakfast Burrito, Veggie Stack on sourdough, Overnight Oats with coyo + fruit, House Rawnola Bowls, and a range of acai bowls like the Original Bliss, Peanut Butter Fixation, Coco Dream + Cherry Bite.
This morning for breakfast we had the Caramelised Heaven acai bowl and Smashed Avocado w/ cherry tomatoes + dukkah on sourdough. The Caramelised Heaven was indeed heavenly. Made with acai, banana, cacao, housemade caramel sauce and almond milk, the Caramelised Heaven was creamy, sweet and full flavour unique to any other bowl I’ve tried. The crunchy housemade granola clusters, blueberries, strawberry + banana slices and the dreamy caramel sauce on top made for such an indulgent experience.
The Avocado Smash ticked all the boxes: a generous helping of ripe avocado, thick crusty sourdough and fragrant dukkah to bring the flavours together. Definitely a go-to for any avocado toast lover.
The Nut Buttercup smoothie was incredible. Made from almond milk, housemade peanut butter, banana, cacao, date sugar, vanilla paste + vegan protein, this smoothie was thick, creamy and deliciously sweet.
With their creative approach to acai bowls and healthy food, Pure Simplicity Health Bar is a wonderful little cafe with a bright future. I’m already eyeing off the Falafel Burger and the vegan Nachos for next time.
