Coco Bliss Superfood Bar is an oasis for acai bowl and smoothie bowl lovers, with an impressive menu offering a variety of dreamy flavour combinations. Having recently moved across the road to a bigger, brighter and more open space, Coco Bliss is an acai haven with an infectious coastal vibe.
As soon as we glanced over the menu we knew we were in for a treat. Aside from the Classic Acai Bowl topped with fresh fruit and your choice of granola, Coco Bliss presents mouthwatering options like the Bounty Bowl (acai topped with chocolate coconut yogurt, banana and coconut flakes) and the Cherry Ripe Bowl (acai + cherries w/ cacao and topped with granola, vanilla coyo, strawberries + coconut flakes).
Coco Bliss also have Protein Smoothie Bowls, with options including the Green Bowl, Strawberry Cream Bowl and the heavenly Choc Caramel Sundae Bowl: nicecream topped with granola, juicy banana, chocolate coyo and clean caramel + chocolate fudge sauce. I’m salivating as I write this.
Delicious new additions to the menu are the Choc Mint Slice Bowl, Apple Crumble Bowl and the Black Bowl — a daring mix of acai, banana + activated charcoal topped with granola, dark berries + vanilla coyo.
Decked out in a fresh + modern turquoise and black interior with a luscious painted leaf feature wall, Coco Bliss is a vibrant, inviting space catering to everyone — including the health conscious, vegan and gluten free. Along with freshly made juices, smoothies and coffee, the superfood bar boasts a cabinet filled with raw treats and clean cupcakes.
After umm-ing and ahh-ing at the big menu, we finally settled on the Cherry Ripe Bowl and the Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Bowl.
One thing I loved is that you have the choice of 4 different granolas to top your bowl: Caramelised Buckinis, Choc Buckinis, Cinnamon Granola Clusters, and Chocolate Granola. This morning we chose the Chocolate Granola for the Cherry Ripe Bowl, and Cinnamon Clusters for the Choc Peanut Bowl.
Both bowls were divine, but the Choc Peanut Butter Bowl has to be the most delicious nicecream bowl I’ve ever had. Made with bananas, organic cacao, almond milk, vegan protein, PB and cinnamon — and packed with 20g of protein — the Choc Peanut Butter Bowl was creamy and full of flavour, while the Granola Clusters and cacao nibs added a delicious element of crunch.
As well as being topped with slices of ripe banana, cacao nibs and pure peanut butter, the Bowl also featured raw caramel slice pieces, adding another level of succulence and indulgence.
The Cherry Ripe was a lighter, fresher option while being equally tasty. Made with acai, banana, cherries, cacao and coconut water, the Cherry Ripe Bowl was delightfully creamy. It was definitely reminiscent of a Cherry Ripe bar, with its cherry-chocolate-coconutty flavour.
The bowl was complemented beautifully with the toppings of chocolate granola, vanilla coconut yogurt, fresh strawberries and coconut flakes.
We also ordered two fresh made juices: a watermelon-mint-orange and a carrot-pineapple-orange. The juices, along with our Coco Bliss bowls, were delectable and faultless.
With its welcoming space, friendly staff and mouthwatering menu, I’m already looking forward to my next visit to Coco Bliss Superfood Bar and have my eyes set on the Chocolate Caramel Sundae Bowl.
