Have you ever met a person who doesn’t like waffles? Me either. They’re the perfect mix of crispy and fluffy, and there are boundless topping opportunities.
If you feel like making waffles is difficult, messy or time-consuming, you need to try these 3-Ingredient Waffles. Yep, just 3 simple ingredients.
This recipe is based off my always-successful 3-Ingredient Vegan Pancake recipe and it translates perfectly to the waffle iron.
The waffles are crisp on the outside, pillowy on the inside, and the oats and vanilla extract give them a naturally sweet flavour. And they’re completely healthy.
Topped with caramelised banana, berries and maple syrup and you have yourself the best, easiest vegan waffle – hands down. I hope you enjoy as much as we do!
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup plant-based milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Simply place all 3 ingredients in a blender and blend until the batter is well incorporated.
- Preheat your waffle iron and let the waffle batter thicken until the iron is ready.
- Cook the waffles according to your iron’s instructions. We get 2-3 waffles using this recipe, depending on how full we fill the iron, but you may get less or more as waffle iron sizes differ.
- Serve with your favourite toppings. Our go-to is maple syrup, banana, blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. Enjoy!

Hope you enjoy them! x
Just made this…so good! Topped it with a bit of peanut butter and some maple syrup…delicious!
Have you found one type of nut milk works better than others?
These were great and so simple! My super picky niece loves them!!
That’s so great to hear!
Breakfast is the most important meal of our whole day, this recipe makes sure of that. Everyone in my family loves pancakes and this recipe was definitely an interesting change in our breakfast menu. Loved it. I have also created some delicious, low-fat healthy breakfast recipes, that everyone should try once.
Tried these today. I added 2 tablespoons of flax seed to the batter. Worked great. Might add some maple syrup to the batter next time so it browns a bit more when it cooks.
Thanks for sharing! I sometimes add a tablespoon of oil to the mixture to help them brown.
I added hempseed to mine! Really good!
Great idea! Glad you enjoyed them!
Can you make them with canned coconut milk?
I haven’t tried canned coconut milk so I can’t say, sorry! Do let me know if you give them a go.
