I’m currently enjoying my mid-semester uni break, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. Nine straight weeks of endless uni readings, revision and long essays was beginning to weigh me down. I was craving time to breathe and to escape my “uni brain” for a while. So instead of dedicating this week solely to study as I probably should, I’ve promised myself to take a break from it all and just enjoy the things I love. This includes reading a (non-uni) book, sleeping in, exploring secondhand bookshops, baking delicious treats, going out for breakfast, seeing a movie, reading magazines I’ve bought but haven’t had the time to read, getting back to my fashion interests, and blogging.
So when Australian online boutique EOCENE proposed a fashion collaboration, I brushed off the dust from my camera and joyfully welcomed the opportunity. From their range of international cult brands I chose this beautifully minimal, crisp white dress by Opening Ceremony. As soon as I tried it on, it felt like second skin. I paired it here with minimalistic accessories and little make up, as well as unstyled messy hair to dishevel the overall pristine feel of the look.
I hope you’re all having a lovely week.
So after days of torrential rain and cyclonic winds, the sun and ultra humidity came back out today. This outfit was really all I could deal with without sweating out all the water in my body.
On a much more serious note, I hope everyone in SE Queensland is safe and my thoughts are with those who have lost belongings and lives.
MINKPINK top, Sportsgirl shorts, Levi’s bag.
After coming home with a bag full of secondhand goodies, I couldn’t resist throwing on this outfit (that were still blanketed by that musty but reassuring thriftshop smell) and going out in the rain to the local park to take some photos.
Hair grew noticeably and progressively frizzier and thinner alongside the ceaseless drizzle, as did boyfriend’s patience.
Secondhand top and high-waisted pants, Levis bag, Tony Bianco chelsea boots.
